Luis's father and his wife were in town to visit this past week. It was nice to get to know them better, and I enjoyed listening to Rafael rhapsodize about the perfection of Spain...
I'm flying back to Kansas next week for a friend's wedding. It'll be a short trip since I'm taking summer classes, but I didn't want to miss it. I expect it'll be an interesting experience. She and her fiance were both music majors at the college I used to attend, and between the two of them I imagine they'll have invited nearly everyone we went to school with. It'll be like an odd little reunion of sorts. I'm sure the wedding will be lovely. The reception, I predict, will be a poignant blend of fond reminicing and awkward moments, followed by the typical Kansas-induced trip down memory lane.
At least I get to dress up.

Word. You should totally buy a ticket to Wakarusa fest while your'e here. I mean you could see the Flecktones on Sunday. That's when we're going.
I'm not big on reunions in general, but this one should be decent. I have nothing but good feelings about most of the folks I went to college with.
Looking forward to seeing you. If it's not obvious, I'm drunk.
Peace.
In hindsight, that was fairly embarrassing.
Good reason not to drink and blog...
