It's a sad day for me... I think I'm breaking up with my hairstylist. He usually gives me amazing haircuts, but we seldom agree on a good way to style it. Today, for example, I told him twice that I prefer it styled using a diffuser to keep some of the wave in it. I also specified that I would like to start adding a little more length to my short 'do. His solution? Leave it longer in the back, and clip the top, providing me with a little seedling of a mullet. Then he blew it dry board straight, with tons of volume on top, a-la Joan Jett. Not a good look for me - nor was it anything like I requested.
For the record, when people with a hairstyle as short as mine say that they want a little more length, I believe that can safely be interpreted as "all over" length, not just the fringe at the back. Twice now I've mentioned wanting to keep a little more length to my hair, and both times he has taken that to mean "leave the hair right at the nape longer than the rest." What gives?
My biggest hair concern at the moment is that I am planning to schedule appointments with a stylist to do hair for myself, my bridesmaids, and my mother on my wedding day. I currently have a (very expensive) stylist who gives great cuts (usually), but rarely styles my hair in a way I like. So... I'm gingerly stepping back out there into the stylist dating game, with the hopes of finding someone who is everything I need. I know he's out there somewhere.

I love rock n roll! Put another quarter in the jukebox baby!

That's a joke...

My family is from Arkansas, so I'm obligated to say stick with the mullet.
Business in the front, party in the back.
